Depressingly astute.

Wickedly funny.

From the dive bars of Brooklyns Williamsburg to the dirty alleys of San Franciscos Mission, the urban hipster has redefined American cool with a sighing disdain for everything mainstream. Hipsters are easily identified by their worn-out shoes, fixies and PBR tallboys, but until now no one had investigated beyond the hipster look to the even more hilarious hipster psyche. With personally researched articles, revealing illustrations and helpful charts and graphs, Stuff Hipsters Hate exposes the bottomless well of impassioned scorn that motivates the ever-apathetic hipster, including:

MATING AND SOCIAL HATES

¦buying you a drink

¦monogamy

¦texting back in a timely fashion

APPAREL AND GROOMING HATES

¦high heels

¦muscles

¦being asked about their tattoos

WORK AND LIFE HATES

Things I’m PASSIONATE about

Everyone has their own perspective and beliefs, which can lead to us butting heads and protesting about the issues that matter the most to us. Our different views can also be translated into some pretty creative, hilarious, and even downright weird signs that we proudly hold up to show that we're passionate about what we believe in. Of course, some signs are far crazier than others.

For the past few weeks, I have been figuring out what it means to find our passions and use them in what makes us ache. I gained twenty-five responses across a variety of topics, which are featured here, using first names for privacy reasons. So much of who we are and what we care about is a product of the mind. Finding a child who needs a home and a family and being able to provide just that is simply beautiful. Just a beautiful, pure process. I have a passion for the groups that do not have a voice due to language, culture, discrimination or any other kind of barrier.

Feeling unmotivated? Like your common interests have somehow lost their luster in the hustle and bustle of life? Everyone will eventually hit a slump where they no longer feel inspired, passionate, or energetic about their interests. It is in that slump that one must begin to look outward to find something new to rekindle their flame. As people continue on in life, their interests will grow and change, so we need to be prepared to grow and change along with life. When that happens, it may be time to dive into a new passion to stoke the flames and get your fire burning again. Animals Animals and pets serve as a comforting escape for so many people.

I am passionate about exploring my backyard and my province, the Eastern Cape. I am passionate about not being interested in luxury accommodation. Not cool.
